Dukkah

Dukkah is a nut, herb and spice mixture from Egypt. Long ago, when the Egyptians rode their camels across the desert they would take this with them. The traditional way to use it is by dipping bread into olive oil then the dukkah. However it’s also great as a coating on meat and fish. It can be tossed through salads, as well as being a topping for soups, eggs and anything else that takes your fancy.
